DGS Fine Art Consultants, Inc., is a full service private art advisory and appraisal company specializing in 19th, 20th and 21st Century American and European art, including such areas as the Hudson River School, American Impressionists and Modern, Postwar, Contemporary and Emerging Art and Fine Art Prints.

As a Certified Member and  past President of the Board of Directors  of the Appraisers Association of America (2015-2017), I adhere to their extremely stringent code of professionalism and ethics. I have been cited in Artsy, Maine Antiques Digest, The Dewitt Stern Fine Art Newsletter, Westchester Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal. I am also an Antiques Roadshow appraiser. Click here to see my appraisals on Antiques Roadshow.

With over 35 years in the art business, I have a wealth of experience that is invaluable to both new and seasoned collectors. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Barnard College/Columbia University and spent considerable time with Sotheby’s in the department of American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture. Following my work at Sotheby’s, I spent 10 years at Spanierman Gallery, LLC, New York, where I focused on sales and acquisitions of art among private collectors, corporations and museums. I also curated important exhibitions for the gallery and traveling venues.

I founded DGS Fine Art Consultants in 2007 in order to serve the individual collecting needs of my clients, providing boutique service for private collectors, museums and corporations to buy, sell and protect their assets with qualified, USPAP compliant appraisals.  All of my services are confidential.
